Generally Puri sea beach has uniform temperature all over the year, except for peak summers (April-June). And the best time to visit Puri is July-March. Winters (December-February) are pleasantly cold.

The bus stand near the Gundicha Temple provides connections to Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in every 10-15 minutes. There are Minibuses available to Konark which leave in every 20-30 minutes from Jatiababa Chhak. There are direct buses for Kolkata and Visakhapatnam.
